The new Ballmann S200 network analyzer moves one big step ahead of the competition in defining new standards for measurement speed, dynamic range and accuracy. Designed as a true multiport system, the S200 network analyzer supports up to 8 modular test ports in one single housing. Several test port modules with different connector types and impedances are available and can be combined to meet the specifications and requirements of your measurement task. A unique calibration algorithm removes the systematical errors of all test ports simultaneous, making the test of multiport devices an as easy to handle task as traditional two port measurements. The outstanding dynamic range of more than 160dB @ 1Hz combined with the ultra fast acquisition time of 80µs per frequency point increases the productivity by more than two decades compared to conventional analyzer systems. Combining the components of a sophisticated network analyzer and a high speed PC in one single housing eliminates the need for an external controller. The firmware of the S200 network analyzer runs on the internal PC as a 32-Bit application under the well known operating system Windows NT® and comes with the state of the art user interface common to modern Windows® applications plus a transparent soft key menu system for fully mouseless control. Implemented as Windows® Automation Server, the S200 analyzer can exchange data with other applications in real time using the Windows® communication services DCOM, ActiveX, ODBC or file transfer via LAN.
